Healing properties of wool

When selecting the raw materials for horse accessories we drew on our long-standing experience, therefore pure living wool had to be an obvious choice.  It is thanks to wool that our blankets and guards have acquired additional beneficial properties.

Why choose wool? The answer is simple!

  • helps maintain constant (optimal) body temperature
  • helps the body breathe through the skin
  • provides the horse's skin with a post-exertive quick cooling effect
  • massages the horse's skin naturally

Sheep's wool contains properties used in rehabilitation and prophylactics. It allows the body to breathe through the skin. Thanks to the elasticity of the fibres, the whole surface of our products does not stick to the horse's body.

Woolen fibres have the ability to contract and expand depending on changes in temperature, which results in spontaneous airflow and consequently produces favourable thermal conditions. Thanks to this natural thermoregulation, horses covered with our blankets will not sweat or overheat.

Of all natural fibres, sheep's wool is the most hygroscopic. It can absorb vapour to an amount equivalent to 1/3 of its mass, while still remaining dry to the touch. By using our products after training, a quick cooling effect is obtained, as wool absorbs a large amount of perspiration and dispels it quickly through ventilation.

A woolen micromassage provides cells with the proper blood supply, thus improving circulation.   .

Sheep's wool brings beneficial effects, complementing the treatment of numerous conditions:

  • post-traumatic conditions
  • inflammation of tendons, muscles and ligaments
  • degenerative limb and spinal conditions
  • painful syndromes, especially rheumatic
  • circulatory diseases
