Magnetic Therapy

“Magnetic energy is that elemental energy upon which all of life in an organism depends”
Prof. Werner Heisenberg (1901-1976), physicist and philosopher, Noble Prize winner for Physics

Variable and constant magnetic fields

A variable magnetic field is created in generators, in which, under the influence of pulsing electricity, an electromagnetic field is created. This phenomenon occurs thanks to moving electrical charges and changing fields. The magnetic waves created, which are dependent on the intensity and configuration of the generator, are characterised by their different effect on  living organisms.

Constant magnetic fields have been a part of Chinese medicine for centuries and in conventional or therapeutic medicine for over 100 years. In the current production of magnets rare earth minerals are used, enriched with metal filings or magnetic and ferromagnetic materials. Depending on the components used, a different (greater or smaller) intensity of  magnetic field is generated. The largest electromagnetic field can be generated in neodymium magnets made from neodymium iron. The unique selection of  components, the modern technology employed to process them and the way in which they have been magnetised, all contribute to the creation of a magnetic network with very densely intersecting lines. As a result, an effect similar to that created with the use of a variable magnetic field is obtained.

How does it work?

Nothing in nature remains motionless, for which the living organism is the best example. At any one time, an infinite number of processes are at work. The use of  Magnetic Field Therapy by  Torpol® exposes the body to the influence of a constant magnetic field.

Even the minutest body motion influences the position of the lines of magnetic force which intersect there. The power of these fields is, of course, not as high as the power produced in variable field generators. Nevertheless, constant magnetic field therapy has held its own, mostly because it is perfectly safe for the health and has no side effects. In the same way that the body cannot store food, it cannot 'store' magnetism for later use.

It is impossible to overdose on Magnetic Field Therapy by Torpol®. This is mainly because our therapy provides the body with as much energy as it can absorb in long-wave. It is well known that every cell has its own small electrical charge which is sensitive to magnetic fields. In illness or after exertion the energy balance  is disturbed.
Exposing the body to magnetic fields effectively eliminates this. In the first phase, after implementing the therapy, the magnetic field working on the body influences, amongst others, the transport of oxygen by blood cells, enlarges blood vessels, decreases vascular endothelial pressure, which contributes to the improvement of ion exchange, contributes to a local increase in temperature, which in turn increases the rate of the healing processes. When it comes to the repair of damaged processes the healing phrase the healing phrase can begin, raising the body's vitality by supplying a boost of energy, which then leads to an increase in immunity to illness and to fatigue. Permanent Magnetic Field Therapy by Torpol® prevents damage to the body's functions by constantly restoring order.

  • supports the healing process by the speedy repair and regeneration of hard and soft tissue
  • increases the body's vitality through a boost of energy
  • shortens the time required for biological renewal
  • restores the body's energy balance
  • improves the body's immune functions
  • improves the metabolism and metabolic conversion
  • leads to an increase in immunity to fatigue, both physical and mental

Why does  Magnetic Field Therapy by Torpol® have such a great and varied effect on the horse's body?

Magnetic fields produce an effect linked to an increase in the size of bloods vessels and oxygen intake and a decrease in blood coagulation. These all have a beneficial effect in speeding up the regeneration of tissue, and therefore on the body's recovery. Our therapy, in which we employ NMA BIOflex® PLUS as well as high-class neodyme magnetic biostimulators (NMB), plays a significant role in biological renewal, or so-called detoxification. In this process, toxins and harmful waste products are more quickly removed from the body, a process epecially important during or after treatment, and also during and after physical exertion caused, among others, by training or participation in competitions or races.

Vitality in general is improved by the increase in the blood's oxygen content brought about by magnetic fields. During this 'post-exertion restitution', magnetic therapy allows the body to return to the pre-exertion state. This means slowing down the pulse and breathing,  balancing arterial pressure and regulating heart-beat. A constant magnetic field works at the atomic level, by charging the atoms and molecules and increasing their activity, which in turn leads to an improvement in the intercelluar metabolism.

When is constant magnetic field therapy recommended?

Permanent Magnetic Field Therapy by Torpol® is recommended in preventative and complimentary medicine in cases of:
  • musculoskeletal diseases
  • conditions of the musculoskeletal system
  • painful degenerative, inflammatory, post-traumatic etc.
  • pain of multiple or unknown origin
  • metabolism-related illnesses

For how long can the constant magnetic field therapy be used?

It should be remembered that the body absorbs only as much magnetic energy as  is needed to restore its energy balance. Magnetic Field Therapy by Torpol® can be safely used both in physiotherapy and preventatively and it is impossible to overdose. Following a short period of adjustment, it can be used for up to 10 hours a day..

The World Health Organisation  (WHO) considers permanent magnetic fields up to a strength of 20,000 Gauss (2 Tesla) as completely harmless. Magnetic therapy should not be used in cases of pregnancy, fresh wounds, acute infectious diseases or in patients with pacemakers or other electronic implants.
